Ubuntu in VPS Servers
Ubuntu is available with all of our Linux VPS service and you can obtain a VPS running it in just 60 minutes. 32-bit and 64-bit editions of the OS are available, so you are able to choose the one which you need when the software that you would like to run on your server has particular system requirements regarding this. You may also select if your Ubuntu-powered VPS should be set up with no Control Panel, in which case you will have full root access and you will be able to set up anything through a console; or if the Hepsia Control Panel should be installed on it, in which case you will have a web interface and all necessary web server, MySQL, FTP, mail server, etcetera. software will be pre-installed. The root access in the second case will be more restricted, but such a installation is more effective for users with less experience. We will also keep your Ubuntu up-to-date on a regular basis if you add the Managed Services upgrade. You will be able to do this during the VPS order process or at any later time using your billing Control Panel.
Ubuntu in Dedicated Servers
Ubuntu is one of the Operating System options that you will find on our order page in case you decide to get one of our Linux dedicated service. We'll install the 32-bit or the 64-bit release, so as to match the system requirements of the applications which you'd like to install on the server. You may also select the software that will run on your machine, as we will install only the Apache web server software, so all else can be custom software of your choice. You will be able to install the latter without any problems employing a Secure Shell console, because you will have root-level access and you will have full control over your hosting server. You can install a website hosting Control Panel as well and control some things via a graphical interface, as long as it can work on an Ubuntu-driven machine. To make things simpler for you, we also provide a Managed Services upgrade, which, among other things, contains Operating System upgrades.
