An error log is a detailed report of the warnings and error messages which site visitors came across while they were looking through your Internet site. This is the raw data that the web server has gathered and it may help you locate potential problems with your site and fix them in a timely manner, as a way to boost the site’s efficiency and to raise the users’ full satisfaction. You will find a number of things in an error log - the time when the error showed up, the actual path to the file which the site visitor can't access, the IP address the request came from, and the reason this request couldn't be processed. There are different reasons for your site visitors to see an error message - a link leading to a non-existent file, a script site that cannot be processed properly by the server, a website access attempt by a blocked IP address, and many others.

Error Log Viewer in Semi-dedicated Servers

The error log generation is a function that can be switched on with only a click with each of the semi-dedicated server packages which we provide. This can be done through the Access/Error Logs section of the custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel, which we will provide you with to manage the account. After you go there, you will see each domain and subdomain that you have hosted/created inside the account listed in alphabetical order. Switching on the error logs may be performed independently for each one of them by pressing the On button, that is located on the right-hand side. By simply clicking the Off button, you can turn off the log generation if, for example, you have fixed the issues on the site or you have relocated it somewhere else. Additionally you can download each of the logs with simply a click and if you have the necessary software on your laptop, you can process them and get easy-to-read graphs and charts that will help you spot the most common issues on the website.
